Climate risks and opportunities

Research by the Environment Agency suggests that extreme weather could have cost the UK economy £600m in 2012 alone.

50% of managers have reported to the Chartered Management Institute that severe weather caused disruption to their organisation last year. Nearly two-thirds of UK businesses have also reported that they suffered supply chain problems because of the extreme conditions. In addition, many businesses are failing to recognise the emerging market opportunities, both for existing and new forms of goods and services.

CAG Consultants is working with businesses, communities and public bodies to understand the risks they face and help them to build resilience.

What we offer:
  • Climate risk/opportunity assessments. We have developed a cost effective, practical methodology that allows us to carry out robust area-based assessments of climate risks and opportunities.
  • Assessments can be carried out for local authorities, Local Economic Partnerships or multi-site businesses.
  • Resilience support. We are working with businesses and public bodies to develop appropriate responses to the risks and opportunities presented by climate change.
